PHYSICA Monograph

1. Abstract

UKC:PHYSICA functions as the foundational physics-facing law-layer of the Universum Knowledge Corpus. Its primary architectural mission is to establish a rigorous epistemic firewall between established, consensus academic physics and exploratory authorial extensions. Rather than presenting an alternative or replacement physical theory, PHYSICA catalogs established conservation laws, fundamental constants, field-theoretic equations, and thermodynamic principles, serving as an immutable grounding spine against which all downstream models (including FQFT, TFR, and applied fabrics) must be tested. This monograph defines the grounding architecture, specifies the multi-tier evidence classification, maps downstream theoretical bridges, and formalizes failure conditions.

2. Public Thesis and Epistemic Boundary

The foundational thesis of PHYSICA is that theoretical speculation and integrative frameworks must remain accountable to verified empirical laws and SI-traceable physical constants. PHYSICA enforces the principle:

Established Physical Law≠Authorial Theoretical Extension

PHYSICA does not validate downstream theories simply by being referenced by them. A citation of Maxwell's equations, Einstein's field equations, or the Standard Model Lagrangian within the corpus establishes grounding vocabulary; it does not confer empirical validation onto novel hypotheses that build upon those references.

3. The Grounding Layer Architecture

PHYSICA establishes a transparent taxonomy classifying every physics-facing proposition in the corpus into one of seven distinct epistemic layers:

Layer LevelDesignationEpistemic DescriptionAuthoritative Grounding
L1Established Physical LawEmpirically verified, peer-reviewed conservation laws and equations (e.g., energy-momentum conservation, CPT theorem, gauge invariance).Standard academic consensus, CODATA constants, NIST datasets.
L2Standard Mathematical ResultMachine-verified or standard mathematical theorems (differential geometry, Hilbert space functional analysis, spectral theory).Mathlib formalizations, peer-reviewed mathematical monographs.
L3Interpretive BridgeAuthorial conceptual frameworks relating physical observables to informational or relational metrics.Explicitly marked as interpretive hypotheses; no claim of altered physics.
L4Authorial Research ModelExploratory theoretical constructs proposing novel dynamics (e.g., scale-dependent field actions, fractal spectral supports).Documented research preprints; requires explicit falsification pathways.
L5Formalization TargetMathematical conjectures and lemma targets undergoing formal specification in Lean 4.Registered in Formal Claim Ledger; status remains open until verified.
L6Computational BenchmarkNumerical simulations, lattice calculations, or parameter calibrations.Reproducible computational companions and test suites.
L7Empirical PredictionFalsifiable numerical predictions with explicit test protocols and held-out observational gates.Held-out registries, prospective test criteria.

4. Multi-Axis Epistemic Status Ledger

AxisStatus LevelAssessment & Documentary Authority
Formal (F)F4-CHECKED: MACHINE_VERIFIEDEstablished physical equations and mathematical tools grounded in verified literature and Lean/Mathlib bedrock. Authorial mappings remain F1/F2.
Computational (C)C5: REPRODUCIBLE_IMPLEMENTATIONStandard numerical physical constants and benchmark solvers verified against CODATA 2022 standards.
Prediction / Empirical (P)P6: REPLICATED_EMPIRICAL_RESULTFor cataloged standard physical laws; authorial bridges are explicitly bounded to P0/P2.
Review (R)R3: FORMAL_EXTERNAL_PEER_REVIEWFor cataloged established physics literature. Corpus-level synthesis is R1 (Internal Critique Recorded).
Publication / Provenance (V)V4: EXTERNALLY_PUBLISHEDGrounding physics sourced from peer-reviewed literature; corpus architecture published as V1.

5. Downstream Theoretical Bridges

PHYSICA maps explicit, typed relationship edges into downstream programs across the corpus:

Downstream ProgramRelation TypeEpistemic Function & Constraint
FQFT (Fractal QFT)GROUNDING_REFERENCESupplies Standard Model baselines, canonical gauge actions, and Dirac equation limits. PHYSICA does not validate FQFT scale-dependent modifications.
TFR / RealicaCONCEPTUAL_ANALOGYProvides thermodynamic entropy bounds and signal-speed latency limits for observer loop models.
KP-FieldGROUNDING_REFERENCEAnchors authorial potential equations against classical Poisson-Laplace and Maxwell field equations.
Applied FabricsEMPIRICAL_COMPARISONBenchmarks engineering claims against thermodynamic efficiency and electromagnetic material limits.

6. Scientific Safeguards and Non-Conflation

To prevent epistemic overreach, PHYSICA strictly enforces the following corpus invariants:

  1. Conservation Laws are Inviolate: No authorial model may assert superluminal transmission of information, violation of energy-momentum conservation, or violation of thermodynamic entropy laws without being flagged as physically inadmissible.
  2. No Promotion by Association: Describing an authorial concept using established physical terminology (e.g., "gauge field", "Lagrangian", "Hamiltonian") does not elevate the concept to an established physical law.
  3. Continuous Operator Discipline: Continuous operators (such as the Sobolev trace operator γ0) must not be conflated with scalar numbers or unverified calibration parameters.

7. Falsifiability and Failure Conditions

The PHYSICA grounding spine fails under the following conditions:

  1. Empirical Discrepancy: If any cataloged physical constant or standard equation contradicts current CODATA, NIST, or Particle Data Group (PDG) consensus data.
  2. Grounding Breach: If an authorial hypothesis is presented as validated physics within the corpus without meeting the necessary experimental (P5/P6) and peer-reviewed (R3) criteria.
  3. Theoretical Incoherence: If a bridge mapping from an authorial model to standard physics produces mathematically inconsistent limits (e.g., failing to recover the flat-space Dirac equation in the smooth limit).

8. Canonical Source Map and Lineage
